- sadly this guy finally came to HT. in three years he wasn´t there but as he gained some more media knowledge in the last few month he showed up:
Heim was a SS-doctor in the concentration camp Mauthausen, Sachsenhausen and Buchwald and still is one of the most wanted men of Germany and Austria. He´s accused of killing many inmates of the camp Mauthausen by injections in the heart and "just for fun" to put heads on display. - therefore he was named "Dr. Death" by the inmates. He´s still on the run and 2005 he was nearly arrested by police investigators but he was informed upfront as it seems. He still has people in Germany who are helping him with money.

- again something for the GMs. afaik was the bataillon 501 involved in battles against partisans and was later during wwII under the control of dirlewanger: Dirlewanger was commandant of a Sonderkommando which was named after him. It was established with criminals and fought against partisans in Russia. The Sonderkommando was known for it brutality and many war crimes (gang rape, whip people to death, poison injections and watching how people died). To ensure that his own soldiers weren´t killed by landmines on streets he ordered to take civilians as prisoners who should walk over the streets. Even in the SS Dirlewanger lost his rear cover because of this but had someone who protected him by displacing the Kommando to other areas.
