- 1488 is a clear neo-nazi code and very popular for identification as such. it is a combiantions of the racist ku klux klan slogan "14 words" (just google it) and the number-code 88 which stands for "heil hitler".

something i want to add

dear community, dear gm´s, dear ht´s (if you ever drop by again),

in the last few weeks i had contact with a lot of people and i do want to tell you a few things.

first of all: thanks a lot for your statements and your support. no matter if supporting me directly in ht or supporting the topic by publishing the link of this blog on your teamsite - btw: those are getting more and more and each time more people drop by and i might say the snowball-system works.

but now up to something else. as i´m quite pissed off by the reaction or non-reaction of some guys and the unreflected treatment system of ht i decided to not report teams anymore but to show `em here on a "wall of shame" (as one user named this blog). but then again i do know that in ht you can´t count on the community because as experience shows some teams play for years with such names. so i decided to check all of those guys here once again. many of them were already reported by users who dropped by here or by others. but a bunch of them were not. so for the last time i did this again in a 12h-action until 4 in the morning.
at the moment it´s all up to one gm taking care of about 80 reports. as he told me he wanted it this way - what a self-destructive guy - and i want to say "thanks a lot for doing this" (you know who you are ;)).
this leads to tell you all that the treatment of the reports by gm´s is quite good or very good. there are only few cases in the past and at the moment where the guidelines (ht policy) fail. that does not mean the report is not legitimate. in the past i have to say there where even some cases where the work of the gm´s was wack - but those were maybe 3-5 cases out of several hundreds. so you see the the work of the gm´s is good and without the help of them the situation wouldn´t be that good. and even if there might be a problem with a report: a link or further information will sweep away doubts in most cases.

then again there is another thing. in a 2-3 cases there are users by whom it is proofed that they do use terms, names or codes which are on the blacklist but have nothing to do with neo-nazism, racsim or fascism. maybe this brings us to a point where the whole policy should be rethought once again. maybe in some/many cases names should be removed by the gm´s with a given reason for the user. at least this has two strong effects:
1.
it´ll protect those users who don´t have anything to do with such things. if they keep the name this will lead to missinterpretations all the time the team plays. there is a very popular case in south-america where a user is attacked in his gb but didn´t knew about what those guys were talking.
2.
with such a policy quite many teams could be treated where with the status quo nobody would take actions. i know this is very... let´s say debatable but on the other hand i do have about 120 screenshots of teams which are under suspicion but with the actual guidelines will keep playing for ever.

one last but very important point! i wrote in the introduction that the registration control is crap. what do i mean by saying this? it does not mean that i want to critizise the work of the gm´s!
as you can imagine coming from some country of south-america or somewhere else the knowledge of neo-nazism (no, it´s not a german problem as you see) and historical terms and names is not given. i don´t want to blame any of the gm´s for that to get this straight. it just leads to the conclusion that a tool is needed for the gm´s to give them a helping hand so that they do know what they decide with the registration control. or to overwork the guidelines. unfortunately the gm´s have no control - and this really is a shame - after the registration. what does that mean? well, stadium-name, ya-name and ya-stadium-name are beyond the control of anybody. not to talk of renaming the team and the alias. and as you can´t search for the ya-names this is were the muppets can do what they want.
so in the long run a tool is absolutely essential. in the short run the guidelines must be overworked.

if you are d´accord with what i do here please spread this topic a bit. with more users being aware the fewer muppet-teams we have.

and please leave a comment if you want to say something to one of the points. this may be of great help believe me.

regards

- schutzstaffel: was a paramilitary organisation which in the beginning was responsible for the security of hitler and then later played a key role in the holocaust. the ss was forbidden after wwII a criminal orgaisation.

again: this is really stupid. it´s been only a few days since there was another team with the same name reported. the name was changes and just two or three days later there is a new one. this is really a good system i think: there is work all the time - but unfortunately the gm´s are all volunteers and i guess they don´t have fun to do the same work day in day out.

- auschwitz would normally don´t cause a comment. but in this case i´d like to quote that the user is from poland what could be a sign that he uses the name auschwitz because he comes from this corner/region. but in polish the city is called oswiecim. auschwitz is the name the nazis gave the concentration camp. i know there excists one historical term "auschwitz" but it is from the time from about the 15. century. so i guess he didn´t mean this.

- it´s not written correctly but anyone knows what is meant. it´s a very actual discussion among german historians that the wehrmacht is responsible for many warcrimes and did not fight a "clean" war how it is often said by members.
